A French murderer who was captured in the US before being extradited to his homeland, it was thought Jules Rey died imprisoned in a dungeon, but he instead had only gone blind and, after becoming friends with the spiders in his cell, later surfaced as the Black Spider, swearing vengeance on those that helped convict him. His methods were brutal enough to make even his henchmen get creeped out. He died in an altercation with Bulletman and Bulletgirl. No powers, but he did have poisonous spiders of various sizes that would do his bidding.
