After assisting the female Doxian Erda in the war against the Zodians, Commodore Rex Clive and Adjutant Speed Lansing remain on the planet Dox. The new Master Devil Choq begins new attacks. As the attack from Zod commences, Rex and Speed infiltrate Zod’s government. Disguised as horned Devil Masters, they go to Ajugar, the Sixth Assistant Chief in the Department of War. Ajugar is thought an ally to the Doxians, but is immediately stabbed in the back from behind the curtain in his office. Clive puts on Ajugar’s robe and manipulates his face to look like him. Lansing catches up with Ajugar’s killer, a Devil Master woman named Tarra. Tarra fires her “z-ray” weapon, knocking out Lansing. Tarra catches up with Clive, still thinking he is Ajugar. Rex removes his disguise. Tarra reveals that she is in disguise, as well. She was betrayed by Ajugar, and killed him for it. Tarra helps the Space Rangers escape and informs the Doxians of the Zodians’ plans to use a “gravimeter” to send Dox out of the orbit of the sun, Algol. The Space Rangers warn Dox in time, turning on their own gravimeters to knock Zod out of orbit.
