Adam Antaeas Jr., a sculptor and artist, creates a statue of the Greek mythology figure Antaeus. However, he discovers that, when danger is near, the statue comes to life. The living statue gives Adam superpowers like its own, including super strength and the ability to bounce high into the air, hence the name Bouncer. Like the mythical Antaeus, of course, Adam and the statue are both vulnerable in mid-bounce. Adam can also dig through the ground with ease.
