Yankee Longago

George “Yankee” Longago was an American boy who was able to travel through time when unconscious or asleep, or so it seemed. Most of the stories he appeared in were ambiguous as to whether Yankee Longago actually traveled back in time or if all of his adventures were products of his imagination… or both. His guest appearance in the Pirate Prince story in Daredevil Comics #28 marks the only instance when he was clearly and unambiguously shown traveling through time. Whatever the truth behind his time-traveling ability may be, Yankee Longago showed up in different time periods, fighting villains with ingenuity and (occasionally) his fists, and getting into all sorts of misadventures along the way. During his time-travels, George met many famous historical figures, including King Arthur, Cleopatra, Christopher Columbus, and Napoleon Bonaparte.
