Voodah was a jungle character featured in Crown Comics. In his first adventure, written and drawn by Matt Baker, Voodah saves his African tribe, the N’risi, and his mate, Jano, from an escaped prisoner named Blake and his albino monkey Deem. In this story, and in the next two issues of Crown Comics, Voodah is represented with a Black skin-tone, except on the cover of Crown Comics #5, where he is colored as a Caucasian. In Crown Comics #6, and in all subsequent appearances, on both the covers and interior art, Voodah is shown as Caucasian, and a more direct swipe of Tarzan.
