To test a newly-built rocket ship, Spurs Jackson and Hank Roper are kidnapped and sent to Venus. Because the experiment is successful, the rocket’s builders will, according to Jackson, “make Venus their home and loot the Earth.” Once they arrive on Venus, Jackson and Roper don spacesuits, seeking intelligent beings to help them get home. They discover horses with wings. Jackson lassos two of the horses. Upon closer inspection, Roper exclaims “they’s iron horses! And lookit them thar gadgets n’ levers on their necks…” Jackson figures that, while they don’t know how to fly a rocket, they can certainly ride a horse. The horses return Jackson and Roper to Earth in “no time flat!” Jackson enlists a professor to travel back to Venus aboard the robot horses to retrieve the rocket.
