Veiled Avenger

Ginny Spears was a District Attorney’s secretary. Frustrated that “justice is often defeated by the cunning conspiracies of clever crooks”, Spears leads a double life. By night she becomes the Veiled Avenger, “exotic enemy of evil”. Her weapon was a bullwhip, with which she could make her foes shoot each other and themselves. In her first adventure, when store owner Pop Lapham refuses to install mobster Jake Jarrell’s pinball machines, they kill him with an ice pick. Little Skipper runs to the aid of Spears. The police arrest Jarrell, but has his men kidnap and torture Skipper. Just before one of the hoods rubs a cigarette butt into Skipper’s eye, the Veiled Avenger intercedes and defeats the gang.
