Press photographer, Jim Slade, was the crime fighter and magician known as Tor. His disguise consisted of a fake mustache and a stage costume. His magic powers came from spelling backwards and gave him a multitude of powers such as being bulletproof and control over ice. He often came to the rescue of his colleague, reporter Lucy Stone. In all his recorded adventures he fought mundane gangsters.
