With his father, the Skull, dead, the Son of the Skull threatens revenge on Sergeant McGinty and Matthew Burland, the men responsible for sending the Skull to the electric chair. He first kills off a friend of Kip Burland, the Black Hood, using a poison that transforms its victim into a spitting image of the Skull, and kidnaps Burland’s girlfriend, Barbara Sutton. The Black Hood fakes his own death in a train wreck. When the Son of the Skull visits the morgue, he leaves frustrated, as his foe did not die by his hands. The Son of the Skull returns to his hideout to kill Sutton. The Black Hood, who followed his enemy in order to save the woman he loved, bursts through the window and defeats the villain. Sergeant McGinty arrests the Skull and sends him to prison.
