Molly O’Moore was a reporter for the Chronicle, who usually wound up solving the crimes she was investigating as stories. She had a rival and potential love interest in “Scoop” Scanlon, a reporter for the Daily World-Star. Although she was kidnapped more than once, she was no damsel-in-distress, and proved herself very heroic in every appearance. Of interest to note, Scoop has always been regarded as the main character, yet more often than not Molly was first-billed.
