Meteor Martin was an ace pilot of Moon Patrol. While guarding American observatories on the Moon, he defended Earth from hostile Martians and other threats. In one battle, he was hit by a martian ray weapon that transported him to a “negative universe.” There he battled strange creatures, and unfortunately, in the last panel of his existence, he was being thrown into a fiery pit by one, with no clear means of escape. He carried a ray gun, but usually relied on fisticuffs.
