Jungle Jo

Jungle Jo was the monarch of the Tangane people, keeping them safe from threats such as the monsters of Forbidden Valley. His first mate was named Lura, who, more often than not, played the damsel-in-distress. His second mate was Laura. Although many sites claim the unnumbered issue of the Jungle Jo series was this character’s first appearance, that issue still featured Jo-Jo in its stories because Jungle Jo was merely a re-colored, re-printed, and re-named version of Jo-Jo the Congo King.
