Eric Van Doorn was an adventurer who searched for and observed the rites of the Haitian tiger worshipers. When the worshipers discovered him spying on them, they attacked. Van Doorn shot their priest, who cursed him to become a were-tiger when the moon was full. As a were-tiger, Van Doorn killed an innocent woman. The Deacon was brought in to find the killer. He confronted Van Doorn in his tiger form, throwing him from the roof of a building. In his tiger-form, Van Droon maintained human-like intelligence, but was driven to perform blood sacrifices.
