After his father’s death at the hands of foreign agents, Dusty is adopted by Joe Higgins, aka the Shield, and begins to fight crime as Dusty the Boy Detective. He later formed the team known as the Boy Buddies with the sidekick of the Wizard, Roy the Super-Boy. Dusty had no superpowers.
