Dr. Vance hunts down the Hanuman Ape in the jungles of Bengal. Assisted by a man named Link and a woman named Jean, he captures the legendary ape. In the process, Vance is bitten by the ape. When returning the Ape Demon to the United States, Dr. Vance is taken over by the spirit. He becomes more ape-like while his spirit becomes part of the Hanuman Ape. When Jean uses a talisman representing Shiva on the ape, it turns to stone. This releases the spirit of Dr. Vance and turns into a stone statue. Dr. Vance is a skilled hunter and tracker.
