Dr. Magno was a veteran of World War II, which mostly took place during the 1950s in his timeline. During the conflict, he lost his hands and had them replaced with steel hands, which gave him magnetic powers. After the war, though, he turned to organized crime, leading to his arrest by Iron Skull. Escaping from jail, he resumed his criminal activities in Chicago. This time around, he captured the Iron Skull. He kills his associates for an earlier betrayal using poisonous gas. Iron Skull eventually defeated him and sent him back to jail.
