Reporter Lucky Coyne investigates a State Sanatorium. He’s immediately attacked by a “Mr. Buckingham”, a patient looking for blood. An unnamed doctor intercedes. The next day, Coyne, Kitty, and Terry head out to give blood at a hospital. Kitty is grabbed by a man resembling Buckingham, now referred to as Logo by a masked doctor (the same doctor as before), who says “Instead of taking your blood, I’m going to give you some… the blood of a vampire bat! Heil Hitler!” The doctor also traps Terry, who leaves behind a warning for Coyne. Coyne sees the note and fights off the doctor, presumably the real Buckingham, and his henchman Logo.
