On a train carrying a shipment of “thorium,” Darrel Dane and Martha Roberts banter about a book on will power Roberts is reading. The train is raided by the Skull. Dane’s dog Elmo, kenneled with the cargo, alerts Dane. When Doll Man and Roberts intercede, Roberts is knocked out by the Skull and Doll Man is captured. She feels strange when she awakes. She focuses her will power to gather “cosmic forces” and becomes Doll Girl. She goes on to rescue the mighty mite and the two of them defeat the Skull. Martha Roberts originally took on the crime-fighting persona Midge 7 years earlier.
