Burly skipper of a trans-oceanic freighter, Captain Courage is thrown back to “the age of the bucaneers and the rovers of the Spanish Main” by a freak cyclone. The storm sinks his vessel, and when he comes to he’s on a ship from the past, crewed by scurvy mates. To take command, he fights a crew-mate named Bull, bests him, and makes him first mate. They come upon a pirate ship and a battle ensues.
