Bill Foster

Bill Foster was a young American scientist who invented Mekano, a giant humanoid robot. Bill meant for Mekano to be remote-controlled and not sentient, but Mekano developed some rudimentary sentience anyway. Bill was assisted by Tommy Clark, a teenage boy who approached Bill after hearing about Mekano’s impending unveiling and offered his help. Sandra Kent, an investigative reporter for the Tribune, was the closest thing he had to a potential love interest.
